First and foremost, it is my job to manage projects and ensure progress. I support the company in everything from product descriptions and project plans, requirement specifications and testing new systems to securing, that the system is working in operation and further developing it. I am the link between the company and the IT developers and my job is to ensure, that every party delivers what they are supposed to and on time.
As IT Project Manager, it is important that I have the overall overview and keep being one step ahead, so that I am as well prepared as I can be for the challenges to come, and therefore are able to react quickly. Besides that, it is a great advantage to be good at talking with people and get them to understand the importance of the project, and also work together as our IT projects often include several departments, where everyone is busy with the daily operations.
I was quickly assigned a lot of responsibility, and I was acknowledged as an important employee from the beginning, even though I was a newly graduate when I started. There is a lot of exciting things going on in the Group and new important systems are being developed, which is really cool to be a part of. Besides that, I think there is a good social cohesiveness and some nice employee events, which is something that I really values.
I teach yoga and reformer pilates a couple of times a week. Sometimes it is a bit stressful to race from one job to another, but when I am finally there, I think it is both fun and enjoyable. I really like being outdoors especially when the weather is good and the sun is shining. When the weather is not that good, I watch a lot of TV series.
I actually got a motorcycle license by a coincidence. A couple of years ago my driver’s license got lost but because my dad is a driving instructor, it was cheaper for me to get a motorcycle license and thereby receive a new driver’s license instead of ordering a brand new one. So I both saved money and learned how to ride a motorcycle.
