The prolonged price climbs in the Nordic energy market finally came to an end last week. The market experienced further price climbs at the start of the week, but when the weather forecasts once more started to predict low pressure, most contracts changed direction. When the market closed on Monday afternoon, the Q4-21 contract had fallen to EUR 46.50/MWh, while the YR-22 contract now costs EUR 31.85/MWh. At the same time, the spread to Germany grew further as German electricity prices continued to climb, and Danish and Southern Sweden EPADs also climbed.
